I Painted My Shoes

I love these shoes:
except for this:
I wore them once and the paint came off the toes... so I used a Sharpie to try and camouflage it.
Not so good :(

When I saw Sugar Bee's shoe project a while back
the wheels started turning.
I threw caution to the wind this week
and
PAINTED MY SHOES!

I used this liquid metallic paint by Modern Masters. 
I picked it up at a local paint store.  It is intended for walls.


This was after one coat.

After a few touch ups:


What do you think?
Wear them or toss them?

    Oh, my goodness! Wear them, of course! I'd be interested in knowing how well they hold up. Hey, but you can always touch them up!

    Definitely wear them.

    It does my heart good to see projects that up-cycle rather than toss.
    If there are still miles in those beauties, keep on wearing them and they look great!

    When my little girls were in dance class (many moons ago) we learned about painting shoes. They would have to paint their shoes to match whatever outfit they had for their recital.

    But I kind of forgot about it. I think they look great! Definitely need to keep this in mind and try it some time. Very cool!
